It feels like someone’s cut off my breath.

A flame once lit
now burns holes in the sky.
Love is frail, gets scared off by a lie.
And it’s about to hide from us,
crouching, weeping at the side of your bed.

Do you recall the old days at all?
When love still conquered fear
and I was all you had?
How could we forget
the way our souls were connected,
like two magnets attracted.
A magical bond.

Those times are long gone.
Now my life is the nightmare
I could never tell.
