Hear me in my perspective following the notes
of the page that is my law. My ability is unlearned but clear.
It pulses through me from my core
to my skin, to the winding empty space.
Cold tired hands are on my hips
shifting with the beat of me.
Whisper tentative lyrics in my ears:
no one is watching

The curves of our bodies are perfect,
the time of our movement is synched;
half-closed eyes and slightly open lips become,
are, have always been the inspiration for a breath.
Each angle in its imperfection beautiful,
each spotted in its darkness with the light
of love or hatebacked up by nothingness, and
everyone is watching
