Tardy Love

Tardy Love

I don't have to worry anymore
I tore it to little pieces
and scattered them in his sea
No hope for tardy love.

Words and gestures are
a little more than useless measures
They don't change a thing
No hope for tardy love.

One point for solidarity
and another thousand for misery
No one wins, everyone loses
No hope for tardy love.

Travel far and wide to find the one
As for me, I will fly
All over the universe in my mind
No hope for tardy love.

New songs and fresh green leaves
Mean nothing to those who grieve
There is only freedom in the skies
No hope for tardy love.

The span of empty deserts
Makes up for closed in spaces
Nothing can be better than this
No hope for tardy love.

Untied laces, opened eyes
Skinned knees, broken hearts
I'll write you off as a lesson
No hope for tardy love.

Persuade me, former lover
That we're each made for the other
But there's no more room for chances,
No hope for tardy love.
