Angels on the Loose

Angels on the Loose

What is a girl to do when sleep cannot be found
when her feet are not touching the ground
While her lover so gently and so softly sleeps
Suppose she'll whisper promises that she'll forever keep.

Hes so beautiful when his mind isn't on the run
when all the world has died for a time until the new day has begun
His mind is overwhelmed with something he cannot reveal to her
She knows this, and does not fear it, even if it causes her blunder.

The angel inside of his mind and his soul and body as well as heart
cannot possibly drive her away for he is everything; thats just a start
Shes drowning in his wonder, she cannot sleep, her eyes kept on his face
closed and carefree, like a surrender, oh so vulnerable in this place.

Paranoid angels crowd him and hes forever unsure of what to do
She'll whisper to him, though he sleeps, i'll be here for you
It does not truly matter of there is a lack of comprehend
but someone, somewhere, will make an attempt to condescend.

Forever begins here, forever began months ago
time is but an instance of a moment we will hold
So she lays her head on her pillow in attempt to rest
moves close, stirs his sleep... its all for our best.
