Angels

Angels

I was sitting there in darkness, so cold and so alone
Praying for somebody to come and take me home
Then with the flashing of bright light, oh how it burned my eyes
It made me scream and it made me cry
Until two angels did appear
They wiped away my tears
And they smiled at me
As I slept pleasantly
One was a mighty warrior who had a heart of gold
He kept me safe and defended me from this cruel world
The other was so gentle with a never ending smile
She held me oh so tightly and she always kept me warm
This world was so different, what was I suppose to do
But my two Angels guided me and saw me all the way through
They made me strong
They made me wise
They showed me a world so vast
They taught me to love
They taught me to try
They gave me a life so full
Now I’m almost fully grown
My Angels have taught me well
And in time one day I’ll be an Angel
To another soul looking for a home

Babies are good with ketchup.
