tonight my love

tonight my love

If dreams
were a color,
mine would be blue
with sadness
and longing
for a séance with you.

…fine wines I’ve tasted;
fine women I’ve tried
but passion
is wasted
when love’s
brushed aside.

…why settle for silver
when gold is in sight;
to hell with
those values,
I’ll call you tonight.

…I’ll be on the corner
of Passion and Bliss;
the streets where I met you
and stole our first kiss.

…We’ll dance in the moonlight,
count stars in the sky,
forget of tomorrow…

‘cause tonight…

you’ll be mine.

(James G.D. Paul)
