Over the course of distilled moments.

Over the course of distilled moments.

A crystal clear minute
encased in your tang.

How we slid
and slept
beneath the stones
embalmed in oils
and honeyed light

The weight of morning
pressing me to your skin

The arc of an arm
symmetrical in gathering us

You tasted
of mottled sun
and discovery.

Would
you could have
hollowed me whole love

the depth of no not
a cavernous awkward
to overcome with salt
and tactile artistry.

We were painted
in ochers
decorated with petals
gathered from your weeping

Thread memories through us

braided days
and knots of night

to untangle

again upon again
within again.
