You spin your lies so effortlessly
They tell the most beautiful stories
And make me think you love me
But I’m blind to the reality

Let me in
Can I see the real soul?
Not the façade it hides behind
Is there more or is this how it has to be?

The tiny bursts in my heart
Are the bombs you drop
One after the next
Everything has to be complex

Your mind is a labyrinth
Of toxic words and sweet poison glow
Your hideous excuses
Are like elixir pearls

They drip from your lips
With such malicious intent
Strands of lies
Leave my heart bruised

The vicious voice
That bites at the bleeding bits of my mind
Eating away the already weak defenses
Can my heart take anymore?

Can you know how wrong you are?
Or will you keep up with this torture
The greatest pain of all
Is the unknown

Your head rushes to find lexis to speak
You stutter when the words fall out aimlessly
Have you no guilt?
Only intent to hurt. [/maroon]
