Sweet tendril vines hang
From an orchard above
Petals from heaven
Rain down upon

Bitter spikes driven deep
From the hand of a love
Droplets of heartache
Creep desperately across the surface

I feel the cold come near
Hanging without purpose
Above our heads
A kiss brings warmth

The temptation just too strong
Take away my last breath
With your dangerous lips
Leave not one bit

I feel the soul leave me
A slip from under
Fall from grace
Because of your iniquitous attempts

You live to have me fail
A jealous moon
The sun so obscure
Do not weep as I fall

Recite the words you’ve come to know
Bring the hope that’s refused to glow
Renounce fears to demons
And fail not to sing the angel’s call

Do not fear what death you have brought
Let it seep to every poor
Hold me in your arms as I fall away
Fear nothing as long as you hold me near

Shutter as the cold ascends
Let warmth bloom as my life ends
Start anew from ashes strewn
Believe not the whispers of the doomed
