He roams the wilderness
In dire need of someone’s tenderness
The feeling of helplessness
Surrounds and entraps him
Like a grain of sand
To the ocean
He’s slowly fading into obscurity
Amidst a whirlpool of fabricated emotions
He gazes toward the heavens
And pleads for an answer to his plight
The gods turn their heads away in repugnance
They allow the bitterness
The rage
The grief
The loathing
The sorrow
That is caged within him
To eat at his insides
And invade his mind
Until alas
He is exposed to the world for what he
Truly is: a lost soul
