Wings

Wings

Let your wings fall
All around me
Shield me in a haven
Safe from all faint persuade

Wings that guard me
White like fresh cream
Full like feather
Soft as immaculate snow

Rose petals of ruby
Fall into temptation deep burgundy
Steal you away from me
Your wings collapse around my body

Stolen innocence
Blackened and tarnished
Your wings are my sanctuary
Though you’re banished away to a place of dark

Sinister divinity
Taken for loving me
Vacant skin and armor broken
I rest here unaided
