The mood is ripe for love
and moon beams filter blue
through crystal drops of rain
shed from gray skies above
falling pitter patter onto my rooftop.

A crimson trail of rose petals
dipped in myrrh
thrills the air with redolent aroma
from my front door to love’s temple
where a beauty spa awaits
the object of my affection.

Soon we’ll share a glass of Romane Conti
her favorite wine,
savor the sublime lyrics of ‘Emotions in Motion’ by Billy Ocean,
our favorite song
as we embrace, wearing only the sexy suds
of a luxurious bubble bath
basking in the seductive glow of scented candles;
then my gifted hands would stroke and knead
her tense muscles into submission
and her Nubian nipples would grant me permission
to lay the lumber down
and the sounds of passion would fill the night
spilling onto the light of dawn
when our bodies, supple and spent,
would drift into blissful slumber
cuddling the memories of ecstasy we had just conceived.
