her eyes bumped into mine,
aboard the F line to Coney Island
sparking feelings of mutual attraction,
feelings that fluttered through the crowd
like butterflies on the wings of flirtation...

she was fine like vintage wine,
beauty to the nth degree;
her lips parted in a smile
like the Red Sea
inviting me in...

I felt the chemistry
surge from a flicker of desire
to a fulgent flame,
ignited by the sensual sway
of her sonsy
conveying curves so exciting
I had to meet her.

So I rose to greet her...

"What's your...."

"Vanity," she replied, before I finished the question.

"Are you...."

"A mind-reader." She did it again,

and again...

"Pablo's your name;
poetry's your game,
and it's a doggone shame we''re stuck on this train
when you could be at my place
kissing and touching and licking and f$&#%ng
and calling my name
like I'm yo mama or somethin'!"

We got off at Avenue P
then took a cab to her crib....

it was going to be a long night.

(James G.D. Paul)
