Met a girl
she cut my hair
fell in love
while in the
chair.

She loved me too
I can''t explain
had dinner that nite
before boarding a
plane.

Returning home
seek her out
I did.
Fell in love
all over again.

Got married soon
without regret.
Her ring
I bought
barely seeing
the set.

Apartment was nice
with lower rent.
Boiling bag
for
nourishment.
Beef and gravy
with day old bread.
A simple pleasure
just being fed.

Two kids we had
both doing well.
Troubled not
being under
moms spell.

It''s valentines day
a card I forgot
so a poem I wrote
to keep me out
of a spot.

I would be remiss
her names not been
told.
It''s Susan Ann
and shes 48
years old.
