Could I walk you
down a crowded
city street?

Window shopping
maybe get something
ethnic to eat.

You must remember
it''s been many
We parted
on that corner,
can''t remember
the street.
Ego''s broken,
falling abruptly
to our feet.

Your inner
beauty has progressed,
please forgive me,
so has your
volumptious chest.

Quirky as it seems
I still procrastinate
as thoughts of you,
your many dreams,
wonder aimlessly
over the grey clouds
of polluting steam.

Just seeing you again
clutters my mind.
Why we parted
settles in.
Goals and superficial
ideals not compatible
enough to win.

Just remaining friends
hardly a sin,
lets wait ten
years and try
