The Wolf

the streets lay dark, no lights seem to shine.
I walk this street alone, with no one by my side.
animals await my flesh, for they know my end is near.
a wolf spoke softly to me,I know he can smell my fear.

his tone was viscous, like that of pure hell.
his eyes black and hollow, he said he can makes things well.
"take this pill" he said, and your pain will be no more,
and those who hurt you, will suffer to the core.

you''ll fade away, into darkness you''ll be thrown.
but there are worse things than death,
like suffering with the pain you''ll forever own.

his words hit me deep. that I cannot lie.
do I wish to suffer more, or just lay down and die.
you cant change this, you cant take the pain away.
you''ve ruined us forever,
without you, I don''t want to wake to face the day.

will this feeling pass? will my suffering come to an end?
or am I doomed to be alone, and will the wolf eventually win..
