The Illusion Sonnet

You look at me, but you don''t see me,
Though I see you in my dreams.
When sheets of fog roll in, I''m happy
Since I forget love is not how it seems.
I smell you but cannot taste you.
You''re my self-forbidden fruit.
Resisting juices and candied dew,
I must harness my strongest suit.
Your heart is open to any love,
But my heart has been reserved.
my heart is famished and can hardly move.
My heart got what it deserved.
Fantasy has closed me in.
Reality will never win.
