Inca Sigh

Lily of the valley, the meadow’s beauty make
Orchid of the desert, upon the dunes breath take;
Purity of water, lily of the lake
The gleam within the forest, the wild rose heartache

Colour of the seabed, the shy amenome
A flower of the ocean, the rainbow of the sea;
In Neptune’s hidden garden, the spectrum’s shoals convene
Essay the coursing currents, enchant their coral queen

Weather of the mountains, the wistful nomad mist
The clarity of summits, an altitude oft wished;
Tireless as snowfall, the measure of flakes list
The frontier of devotion, the North-face of persist

Tears of the Sahara; rain (too long) was banned
A fluid breath of giving, on long awaited land;
Moisture to the dryness, balm on arid hand
Flowing now, as water, a river born of sand

Lady of the prairie, lioness by night
Astride upon the plateau, wielder of prides might;
Maid of the savannah, rules within her sight
Regal without effort, fairer than the light
