The way that I loved you,
I''ll never feel for another.
Passion flowed through my veins,
and the caring went further.
I thought about you,
all day and night.
Trying so hard to imagine,
things without you in my life.
Bur oh so sadly,
You never were in it.
And I tried so very hard to make you realize,
That you could''ve found love,
If you had of looked into my eyes.
But you never did.
NOt one glance.
And you never took the time,
about giving me a chance.
I looked at you helplessly,
you looked at me and laughed.
I told you that I was in love with you,
You told me "do the math."
You were the very first one that I ever loved,
For I had never felt that way.
You showed me another side to myself,
So now, I have you to thank.
You left a scar on my heart,
So deep and so wide.
And the pain still hurts me
when I think of how hard I cried.
ANd you never even cared,
There was nothing I could do.
People said that you were different,
but I know the real you.
I don''t really think,
That I could love somebody else,
The way that I loved you,
The way that my heart felt.
When I look back,
I just laugh at the shame.
When you hurt me....
some was lost and some was gained.
