Gone Now

Gone Now

Gone now are the tears of yesterday,
brushed away by the hand of love,
and hope does spring eternal.
Gone now is the self hatred,
the self-loathing
wanting to hurt myself to stop the pain,
washed away by the soft words of her heart.
cleansed by her touch.
We are as one again,
love does conquer all.
She is my love,
my life,
my everything,
my wife,
and three strands
shall not be easily broken.
Yes, gone now
are the tears of yesterday,
brushed away by the
hand of love.
