Their story began as an innocent flirt
her charms and secrets beneath her skirt
were all that Ken could think about
while awake or asleep, he obsessed

She, however, was unaware
of him or his ravenous
cravings to be with her
she was just nice

He prayed for the time that
their lips might meet for
tender exchanges of aura and
breath; that was all he needed

And one day it happened and rapidly
escalated into regular explosive trysts
as weeks passed she wanted more
her husband failed to hush her desires

Ken loved her, but not enough to leave
his banal life and attachments
He told her so; her eyes
betrayed her broken heart

She could not bear the thought
of not having him all to herself
she would end it and out her
ninth floor apartment window,
she jumped
