He walked slowly along the shore,
wishing he could see the other side,
knowing he never could,
for, not only were they separated
by the ocean,
but by emotion unrequited,
yet he kept on trying in vain,
to woo her with words,
to seek her with subtle lines,
finally, with a saddened pen,
a last attempt to move her,
then succumbing to reality,
knowing he never could,
he simply laid down,
and cried.

"The greatest warriors are the ones who stand for peace." H. Near
