We were not intended to walk alone upon this earth
But to find that one with whom to match our soul
And life has little meaning from the moment of our birth
If someone to share it with is not our goal

We''re supposed to be together, so don''t question if you can
But, rather, verify in fact your search is ended
For the trick is in the learning how to fully understand
If we are with the one that nature has intended

A lifetime''s but a moment of unfoldment to the soul
Advancing forward through the lessons that are taught
''Though just a blink within eternity of which we are a whole
For now, this life remains the only one we''ve got

And if we could make certain the survival of our kind
Without the need from deep within to find a mate
There''d be some singular conception to produce what we now find
It takes two people, man and woman, to create

Our very existence is dependant
By the joining of two hearts
If so intended then our lives have not begun
To measure up to their potential
For unfoldment only starts
Upon this level once the matching has been done

And unfoldment is our spirit''s drive
A fundamental law
It will do everything it can to see this through
And so we find we''re drawn together
Being consciously in awe
Your spirit''s purpose held in me, and mine in you

There is no error, no mistake,
The choice was made before we met
Our lives a series of encounters so designed
To bring us in each other''s presence
And from there destiny set about the task
Of letting us become aligned

And now we sit in wonder at the depth of love we feel
And the speed at which our joining''s taken hold
When truthfully it''s taken time
Was meant to be, is real
As, together, we continue to unfold

I offer these reflections on behalf of the spirit within us all. Let the band play on.
