Past Love

We were pretty together, the first time we met. Our smiles made me laugh.

Blushed cheeks, rosy with anticipation, and bashful bedroom eyes.

You fed me chocolates at midnight under the covers, lying naked on the floor.

I loved you as you watched me in the mirror painting my face for you.

I craved your attention and you spoiled me rotten.

We lived for days drunk off eachother, passing time on a sugar high.

I was a flower, delicate and sweet. And you, my love were the sun.

Oh, time is precious, and passes far to quickly.

Now, I am dirt, and you are the rock crushing me.

We are indifferent to eachother, the last time we meet. Our absent smiles make me cry.

Pale cheeks, drained of hope, and weary tired eyes.

You feed me lies at midnight under the stars, sitting calmy on my porch.

I loved you as you watched me in my mirror wiping black paint from my cheeks.
