Facing the truth

Facing the truth

Staring into the bleak,
Into the cloudless skies.
It''s the way I feel
Towards your cruelty to me.
It sems so senseless

You can afford to be heartless
In the presence of Cupid,
Untouched by Bonnie and Clyde.
You leave me feeling like
One in a trance
with reality a fantasy.

Your very words have the effect
of Medusa''s eyes.

All these make me wish
Cupid had a better shot
at your heart and
Bonnie and Clyde''s experiences
were yours and yours only.

This will banish the memories
of such as Medusa and
''Amor vincit amnia''.
