Empty Hangers

Empty Hangers

The empty hangers beckon
Soon to be filled
With the impending days
Longing to be complete
As time races much too slowly
How my heart races
As I gaze into that space
Of where soon will rest
Amongst the textures and hues
Hangers become filled
As my senses perceive your aromas
Even in our empty room
How my heart beats
My desires my wishes
Drown out the noises
As I gaze upon surroundings
Your presence already there
How can I tell you
All the things inside my head
The joy and the peace
Resounding amongst the hangers
Feeling your footsteps filling
Each room that you tread
Each glow from each candle
Puts silhouettes upon the walls
Each kiss that we share
In our yesterdays
In our tomorrows
Emanates within my mind
Amazing how I look
Upon the empty hangers
Of wire and silk
That breathe their own existence
Knowing they’ll soon be filled
