Girl

Girl

Invalid scurry straight down
Perfect perception in the ancient gown
A worry not to show
Tell her now, tell her not to go.

Playing with a beast of curiosity
Gentle breezes blow over her monstrosity
Only god knows
Hold her tight, hold her close.

Irrational spells of rage
Splitting the bars of her unbreakable cage
Watch her leave, watch her fly
Come back home girl, come back inside.

An ineptly beautiful color
But stolen from another
Lustful be, lustful do
A licentious lie she would love to run to.

Created ineptly to learn to fly
Such a catastrophe to passersby
Break her down, break her now
At the last moment she refuses to bow.

Clueless notions setting her apart
A sculpted hand, a performing art
Scratched by clouds, shaken by mist
Clenched so tightly in her tiny fist.

Paranoia, such an elaborate case
Rains come flooding close with such grace
A world unseen, a world to know
A part of that world she is sure to grow.
