Once in a Blue Moon Love

Once in a Blue Moon Love

You pull me

As hard iron

Pulls the point

Of a compass North

You draw me

As a home stream

Draws the salmon

To its nesting ground

You intrigue me

As the pale sun

Intrigues the spring flower

Into blossoming

You enchant me

As the blue moon

Enchants the silver snow

Into glistening

You strangle me

As the creeping vine

Strangles

The sun-seeking oak

"That which yields is not always weak" -Jacqueline Carey
