Sentimental Candy

Sentimental Candy

Sweet ethereal nectar my soul imbibes
On the edge of an endless precipice
Invites to gardens of turquoise roses
Tasting of you in your primeval blaze

For certainly your soul must have an origin
Not the dark dust pouring down on roads
Neither the dread of abandoned homes
But Father's arms in their benevolent waiting

Here goes your tear and here goes mine
Age after age they sneak on twisting paths
To finally meet in the listless ocean
Indifferent and grey to human needs
