“Thunderbolts of Yearning”

“Thunderbolts of Yearning”

Lips on lips, thighs on thighs,
Hands in hands, dim moonlit sky,
We looked into each other’s eyes…

Heavy rain drops falling on the window,
Your arm stretched out, resting on my pillow,
With your soft beard prickling my neck and left ear,

Sweet, tender whispers in the morning,
I can hear, again, the resounding ghosts
Of our past’s thunderbolts of yearning.

Midnight. Bitter tears dropping on my cheeks,
Hopelessly counting all the unhappy years
In two hundred and sixty lonely weeks.
