Weightless In The Sky

Weightless In The Sky

Floating on a breeze, weightless in the sky

Not a care up here, no reasons, and no why's

Resting on a cloud, looking up above

The heavens expanse continuous, mirrors God’s good Love

Looking down below, there is worry and there’s strife

Just how much envy, can one hold onto in this life

Why steal from your brother, why have contempt for him

What good will greed do us, as life's radiance is fading dim?

Everything is left behind, so what really do we own

Even the breath we now breathe, is just to us a loan

If I could have a wish, I would wish these words could ring

With sweet voice, "the very best for you”, kindly on your ears would sing

I have learned all things the hard way, no judgments do I bring

Just a hope that God's blessed Grace would be your one sure thing

River swift in passing, and so fragile be this living

Maybe instead of getting, we should be more giving

Life is not so much the body, so much more the soul

Oh for a child’s heart, Oh for a more humble role

Blessings prevail over cursing, the strength of self control

Then perhaps we could do some floating while still Earthly bound

Maybe we could find some love while love can still be found
