Daughter Found

Daughter Found

Adulthood with no
daughter,
having two perfect sons,
still I wondered why,
having a daughter,
could be so much
fun.

I never forgot
the feeling,
my little girl,
sitting on my lap,
lying down
beside me,
taking our
afternoon nap.

The process and the
emptiness caused
me to grieve,
how can I pull this
off a daughter
to conceive.

Then I found
the answer,
in the papers
rescued dogs,
my little
Border Collie,
lonely,
left in the
pound,
she''s been there
far to long.

Five years old
and harmless,
a little lamb,
of black and
white,
we loved her from
the moment,
we met her,
knowing she was
just right.

We brought her home,
named her Mollie Ann,
no cages for her,
she came to understand.
She loves to hunt for
Squirrels,
and catch them
when she can.

A daughter like
this, is hard
to find,
I''m a lucky man,
always there to greet me,
a pleasant greeting everyday,
then she wants to play ball,
no matter what I say.

If your looking for a daughter,
take some advise from me,
my little Border Collie,
changed my life,
for me...
