Honey colored eyes...
Dark Lazy lashes blink away the night
Enveloped in the promise of renewal
A life that escaped them for so long.

Wandering through their landscapes, lost
Searching, finding their way through valleys of choice, mistakes,
happiness and loss.

They converge here.

She can hardly breathe.
Sweat, limbs, skin, souls, and hearts
Never wanting to be found.
To be consumed is their only resolve.

In the moonlight, a flock of white birds
glide silently past the clouds.

The wind stirs, heat rises.
Thunder rolls and breaks the warm blanket of their silence.

A storm is coming.

Unamed, without warning, without mercy.
All is torn, lost to the angry blackness that answers to no one.

Known is unknown.
Calm is chaotic.

Solace and contentment,
Peace and hope
All is now scattered
like so many bits of paper,
never to be retrieved.
