Written in Distress

Oh quiet, harmonious silence
How you play
Your devilish tricks on me,
On my mind
You have many a time convinced
Me, he loved me
Then with a searing strike
To my face
With cruelty, just to convey to me
Life''s reality
How despicable noise is bemused
Seems so untrustworthy, we assume
It deceives us
A camouflage that conceals deceives
More than noise
It shadows silence likewise
Sadly with love
Though It cannot ever die
It can be hidden
From any searching soul, but
I must search
Through far more than noise
From evil silence
Balanced, I cannot differentiate
