And Then There Was None

And Then There Was None

And then there was none,
no footsteps down the hall
no I love you''s
no you look beautifull today
just barren places upon the walls
standing out in stark white
where pictures used to be
telling their tales
of lives that should have been as one
yet still worlds apart,
no truth,
no justice,
no respect
held togeather
by the faith of a dreamer
till pride took over
and made a stand
changed the heart
because it could not
change the man
and then
there was none
a decade
had come and gone
in the space between
a breath
and a heartbeat,
then the world
was forever changed
and forever
was less than a lifetime
as love lay in shards
of shattered dreams
scattered about me
alone in the dark
fading into nothingness
like ashes
swept away
within the sands of time
one by one
the days pile up
one atop the other
over and over again
till what was new
becomes old
and memory
brings no solice
only regret
for years waisted
and then there was none
none but one
in time and space
in a place meant for two
such is this fool
who loved you
and you
who loved so many
