I come here every other night To stare at the lights so bright; What beautiful stretch of night skies, And how swiftly impatient time flies. A sudden rush of sweet memories To remind me of the strong ties, Of where it is my heart lies, The sweetness for which it vies.
I peer into the stars so bright And it all seemed so right as i recall the many lingering highs, The whens, the wheres and whys. Inbetween the intermittent bouts of sighs There were never any long goodbyes, Just the sad tears love cries, The tragically painful beauty it belies.
Then in the heavens,a sudden blight; Dark clouds blot out the stars bright But the night continues to fly by As sleep draws ever more nigh. So before the night finally dies I''ll slowly shut both my eyes, Let in sweetness impposible to deny And dream where it is i lie.
