If Ever

If Ever

Suppose you held a wish in your prescient hand

Imagine that your desires held unlimited powers

Try to contain all the energy in your heart,

It cannot be done.

Truly there will be no possible source of light,

No sense of will that could ever reveal,

Flaws that a great heart does not contain.

It cannot be done.

All the wishes in your heart should be yours.

If ever, there be life and breath,

I'd breathe you, now and ever,

But, it cannot be done.
