Sorry Light

Sorry Light

You are like a light
Shining in my darkness
Leading me toward safety
Pulling me into you

You are like a Ray a hope
A flicker of summer in my winter
Trying to stop my heartache
Begging to set me free.

I yearn to reach your outstreched arms
Yet am afraid to leave my familiar prison
Outside in the light, I am but a stranger.
An outcast among angels and perfection.

I''m sorry but today''s not the not the day
I say wimping out and turning back
Back into my dark cave where I shall stare
Stare longingly at your light.

You are like a light
Shining in my darkness
Waiting for me
To one day not turn back.

I''m sorry today is still not that day.

I''m sorry light
