Though several miles do us part..
I look at the moon, and i realise with a start...
That you would look at the silvery part-orb too!
And for a prolonged moment, or even two,
I close my eyes and hold perfectly still...
It''s your presence that i so tangibly feel...
I open my eyes, a mild shudder within,
And look back up at the cresent''s grin.
It reminds me of your blazing smiles...
That warmth, i miss, even now, with glistening eyes...
I close them back, and see your piercing gaze;
The depth of which did make me stare, amazed;
Not minding when it cut into my every clandestine fear...
The stings of which, even now , seem to sear...
When your eyes turn away, i follow them too...
Envious to know what pays tribute, from birth hitherto,
That you, to the blessed soul, turn your sight...
And it wins its salvation without a fight...
Effortlessly now, i hear your velvet voice,
Calm and mellow, you chose words with such poise!
Amalgamated wit and mirth with such grace...
Would''nt i be foolish to wonder why i''m brimful with craze?
When i did dwell in your divine presence,
You filled every minute with your enchanting essence...
I now stand, accursed, in pain and despair...
Your absence has given me much to repair...
I now stand on the shore, with my palms in a clasp,
Praying for all this turmoil to relapse....
