The sun hasn’t shone since that October day,
The weather so cold, so bland & so grey.

Laughing came natural, happy and joyful.
A spring in my step, purpose & meaningful
Now things have changed, everything strange.
Not having you has left me insane.

My glass is half empty; it’s never half full.
My heart of a dead man, my mind a wasteland
No finish in sight, no feeling that’s right.
Alone with my dreams, alone in the night.

I think of the bad points, I remember your scream
I try to remember how you shattered my dreams.
And that’s what they say, to better my day,
Remember she loved you, but left you astray.

I pray to move on, I try to give up
But these demons within me, are running amuck.
I know this cant last? my feelings must pass!
God will you free me, to be fine, completely.

Tomorrow a fresh start, and ill try again
To forget that I love you, you’re only a friend.
To Look to the future, and not for you
I need this so much, I hope it comes true.

No, the sun hasn’t shone since that October day
Maybe tomorrow, but better today.
