Race to the Sea

Race to the Sea

The silence butchers the sugar that covered the truth. The hollow eyes of fate look on us as if we were pet peeves but we won''t give up...never ever because

even though someone may slaughter our laughter or silence our breathe, I''ll be waiting by the sea for eternity...stuck like a stone I''ll stay in the ground we marked as our own our one special day.

The rain falls on me, my tears. The legend the eagle spoke of...the distant tale the whale sang from under the waves.

Listening to the whales song, I think back on times of laughter when butchers didn''t come in the thousands as I wait by the ocean, the sea of our giggles and our knotted ties.

Race with time to the sea for I fear that one day you may disappear from view and your footsteps may disappear within the sand while our clouds drift farther apart as tornadoes come over the sea raging storms inside.
