Love from Afar

Love from Afar

The air around me says hi.
Yet you’re deaf to my unspoken words.
Graceful you are, as I watch you move,
each step more heavenly than the next.
Every blink of those cocoa brown eyes,
speaks to my spirit.
Those luscious lips are perfect,
glossed or not.

You tease me with your presence.
Your pictures haunt me.
You sing, Oh My God! My ears are yours.
Loves song or not, I belong to you.

As the days go by I ask,
the perpetual question,
Will this be day you see me with love’s eyes?

The more life goes by,
without you I die.
I love you, it’s plain and simple.
Hate can’t touch, it’s invincible.
Pure love unscathed, not deluded.
Not scarred by this world’s perversions.
Pornography knows not your name,
nor your face.
Slut or whore can reach you not,
neither ear or soul.
Degrading lyrics of children portrayed as men
Can’t see you, like man can’t see God.

This is my art, you see it in ink.
You travel my mind, every thought that I think.
You are my poetry.
You’re every beat of my bleeding heart
You’re my tears of joy.
Are your perfect? Certainly not.
But from perfection, most definitely you are.

You can feel me, yet you can’t hear me.
I’m silently loud on purpose, why?
Out of fear of mine enemy who is No
Out of circumstance,
that I lost the race to your heart.
Now I suffer a loser’s defeat.
I’m outside the window looking in.

Oh how I wish you would match my stride,
as I look to cross the finish line of life
As Mr. And Mrs. Tibbs, with you as my wife.

My stomach churns,
at the thought you may know thine truth.
To confess my love that dares not pass these lips,
But shall be revealed through one sweet and tender kiss.

I yearn not for your disgust,
no contempt of any kind.
I dedicate words of my best to you.
For my love I hope you have capacity.
With me to be happily.
Please never be mad at me.
Our love wants your voracity,
and not just salacity.
My love, you just have to be.

I’ll be Romeo to your Juliet.
Lancelot to your Guinevere.
Mark Anthony to your Cleopatra.

To you.
For you.
This is true.
But just as my truth
shows love for you.
Your truth proves
That I might not be for you,
because of who he is to you.

So all I can do,
is cast my heart to the sea
of Uncertainty.
It hurts like Reality’s dagger through the heart.
But for now I must Love you from Afar
