Memory Lane
Rain drops from my eyes looking out the window of pain
As the candles burn And we make love
Whats left of us but the lust between the sheets?
Was the innocent passion a void for guilt?
The first kiss the first words I close my eyes, heart skips a beat
So gentle, so tender a moment where everything stops
How can I control these emotions and feelings?
I look back and resent it Discouraged and disappointed
Now left in second guesses and heartbreaking annoyance
No sad songs, no more cries
How can one so honest believe the lies?
Late night conversations to talking at a distance
Wants to forget lost love, yet cant resist it
Its touch, its scent, hurts to feel a love so sweet
Wounded from deceit, cuts shallow, pain felt deep

Lover... one who will stay loyal and faithful
Friend, one who lets go, moves on, yet never forgetful
Lover takes away the pain, hurts to heal
Friend one who pretends to heal but hurt within
Lover one whos also your friend
Love never ending, hold me, console me, Say you wont love another
Memory lane let me crash and burn
Love is a lessoned learn
Let those who experience never fall in or fall out
For it will teach you eternal hurt or a feeling you cant live without
