The slumber runs off with the promise of rest,
Unwavering thoughts burn my smoldering mind,
The whispering sound of your voice fills my chest,
I flout and I plead,
I shut eyesight blind,
To craft quiet dreams I cast off your ghost,
To hide throbbing angst
I make up a lie
And pray for the dream!

The stillness grows weak, and the blackness breaks shy
The softness of dawn drapes the magical muse,
I count gleaming stars as they flicker the sky,
I breadth your warmth;
I surrender and lose
Your phantom feels close,
Your touch so surreal,
With chills on my skin I heed to the blues
And welcome the dream!
