Restraint

Restraint

why put you away
when you feel so good
why take the reins
and act like I should
portray an image
of what's not me
holding you down
when you should be free

you toss and you turn
shaking like a leaf
tucked in the dark
an overcautious thief
trapped behind pairs
of interlocking teeth
please come outside
and just play with me

long lasting pleasure
can't outlast the shame
no matter how I try
it only ends with pain
so what good will come
of life's silly games
when it feels like love
why must it be restrained

*This also has a double entendre, can you guess what that is?)
