Art Gallery Tryst

I''ve been thinking of you.
Sail boating across the moon
On a crackled projection screen.
You pulled me in, hushed
asked me if there were cameras.
There weren''t any, but I still felt watched.

Give him heed on the refrigerator door.
I wish I could! my heart cried.
I wish I could stitch you, Pan Popeye,
like my shadow to my heel.
The sailor so steadfast at the wheel.

There are art galleries in my mind
where I am the Mona Lisa.
Wanting to be watched but not defined.
Smiling but not ablaze.

I wish I had. Gallery tryst.
Allowed you to howl at the moon.
Sail the lake of fire
with the Minnesota nice Lynx kitten.
Put down the painted smile and be smitten.
