A thousand tiny pieces,
Like a shattered crystal vase.
This is the condition,
Of my once so fragile heart.
A thousand salty tears,
Like rain drops in a quiet pond.
This is the response,
That you will never see.
A thousand lonely thoughts,
Like whispers from the dead.
This is the result,
Of trying to talk to you.
And yet some how despite all this,
I find I love you more each day.
And I''ll continue to let you do what you do,
Just to have you stay
