I was just a little kid
A girl of only seven
I still went to Sunday School
To learn about Jesus and Heaven

It was Thanksgiving Break
My sister was in a rush
So when I rejected her shortcut
She told me just to hush

We got all the way to Kellog's
Then we had to cross the street
I was terrified of all the cars
I could barely move my feet

Then you came by and talked to me
You offered me a ride
But when I went to run
You just pulled me inside

Fifty-six minutes passed by
Fifty-six minutes in Hell
I cried, I begged you to stop
My tears made my throat swell

In the parking lot of Wal-Mart
The cops had finally found us
They arrested you and gave me a bear
I cried because you broke my trust

Now ten years have gone and passed
I still wonder why you did what you did
But deep inside that little girl cries
And forever that little girl reamains hid

Maybe someday I'll come to terms
I'll get over what happened that day
But until then, I'll keep searching for answers
Until that little girl finally finds her way home
