The Tightrope Walker

The Tightrope Walker

The tightrope walker stands on a wire

who knew it would be a short time til they tire

stuck between their beginning and end

if they fall, their regards they send

looking around they are not alone

the number of others has infinitely grown

each with varying things they carry

some with so much it looks rather scary

dragging them down, making the wire sway

if they fall, don't worry they are okay

no longer do they bear all that weight

the feeling they have now must be great

a sweet release from responsibility

no longer having such fragility

the tightrope walker we have followed

the idea they have seen will now be borrowed

peacefully they fall from the rope

having lost all idea of hope

disappear into nothing, forever gone

this is the conclusion I have drawn

we all walk our own tightropes

in our own way

I only have one last thing to say

fight with all your might, you can make it across

losing you would be a great loss

live for those who couldn't make it

even if it is only bit by bit
