This Love

This Love

These words that fill my lungs
Cannot simply be let out
For my heart hurts and withers
For if i say what you mean to me
The world would shake
The world would rattle
For my love is so powerful
Man knows nothing of it
For if I lose you
I lose everything I am
You are my post
You are my shield
You mean more then the blood that pumps in my veins
For you will never know this
For it should scare you
To know I could never exist without you
They say love is a powerful thing
For only a few can experience this
You may acknowledge it
You may even be aware of
You may think of it
You may watch it
But only can a few actually feel it
Feel it pump with each heartbeat
Feel it burn with each scrape
Feel it fill your veins with a new drug
Only a few can live with this love
For it pains you each day
For you to let that person into the world
With so many unknowns
With so much wrong
Yet you can't hold the long enough
You can't keep them forever
For one day we will die
And one day we grow old and i lose you
For this love is a painful love
For me to love you so much
To see you walk the other way makes me scared
Makes me cry
For this love
this love is rare
This love is powerful
For most know of it
For only a few can experience this
